Economic Mobility Pathway Pilot Stand-Alone Federal Pathway

Canada’s Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, Sean Fraser, announced that a stand-alone federal pathway for the Economic Mobility Pathway Pilot (EMPP) will be launchedin the summer of 2023.

The minister stated that “our government will continue to develop and scale innovative immigration measures to help employers address their critical labour shortages and provide refugees with the opportunity to live in safety while rebuilding their lives.”

Employers are able to hire skilled refugees and other displaced individuals through this program.

The program helps employers fill in-demand jobs such as nurse aids, long-term care aids, personal support workers, software engineers, web designers, mechanical and electrical engineers and technicians, teachers, tourism, hospitality workers, and truck and delivery drivers.
